Services available
Library Cards
Library cards are issued to adults and children free of charge with a photo ID that shows current residence in Southern Teller County. Patrons under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to receive a card. Your new library card can be picked up at the circulation desk upon your next visit. Once you receive the card you are considered a new cardholder. New cardholders will be considered temporary for the first three months, and will be limited to three items.
After three months library card holders in good standing (no unpaid fines or overdue materials) may borrow up to five items. Books and audios, are checked out for two weeks. DVD's may be checked out for one week.
Fines are ten cents a day per item. There is a three-day grace period.
Renew by phone to avoid fines by calling 719-689-2800 for Franklin Ferguson Memorial Library and 719-689-2011 for Victor Public Library . The maximum fine is $3.00 per item. If the item is lost, stolen, or damaged, the fee is the replacement cost.
Computer Services
Computer services include word processing, Internet for research, reference, and browsing. EBSCOhost databases are available at Franklin Ferguson Memorial Library. WiFi connectivity is available at Franklin Ferguson Memorial Library.
Faxing
Fax service is $.25 per page for the first five pages and $.10 for additional pages thereafter, sending or receiving.
Photocopies
Photocopies are 10 cents per page.
Conference Room
A small conference room is available for small library-related groups at Franklin Ferguson Memorial Library .
Interlibrary Loan
Need a book we don't have? We can borrow it from another library for you. Request the material needed at the circulation desk.
Colorado Collection
The Colorado Collection is an extensive collection of material on the state and Cripple Creek Mining District. Many of the books are rare and out-of-print. The Colorado Collection does not circulate. The Colorado Collection is available at Franklin Ferguson Memorial Library. City Directories from 1893-1916 are available at both libraries.
Genealogy Resources
Late nineteenth century newspapers on microfilm, school records, and city directories of Cripple Creek-Victor are available for public use at Franklin Ferguson Memorial Library.
